In the archaeological complexes originating from the area of spread of the Central Transcaucasian culture of the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, we often come across two-toed (mostly) or three-toed, so-called "Forked" weapons, which are mainly represented in burial monuments.

This article reviews the symbolism of the apple in the folklore with special reference to Georgia, and discusses apples' connections with people's beliefs and customs, as well as possible rational background of these connection. Ethnobotanical information on the use of apples in Georgia is also provided.
